here in the dallas area we have weird septic systems...designed by
baylor university.

the system has 3 tanks. first is a solids settling tank. liquor
overflows into an aeration tank into which air is pumped from a pump
on the surface.

water from this overflows into a holding tank into which is added
bleach. when the water level reaches a certain level this is sprayed
on the lawn (yes...this happens).

question is about the aerator pump. this is a 24/7 pump having a check
valve with a sensor on the output.

right now the pump shuts down about every 4 hours. the system is
microprocessor controlled. if i disconnect the power and reset the
system the pump resets and all is fine...for about 4 hours.

any ideas?

problems don't get any better than this!

thanks all...

Isn't that a pretty standard aerobic system used in areas with poor soil
drainage i.e. clay? Any septic service company in the area should be
able to service it.

Pete's probably right. You could also check with Baylor who designed it but
they'll probably refer you to an installer and we're back to Pete's comment.
I guess I didn't need to post this. ;-)
